Andrea Karp is Managing Director, Head of Real Estate Due Diligence at Black Creek Group, a leading real estate investment management firm. As Head of Real Estate Due Diligence, she leads the team that thoroughly examines every deal that the company considers. As Portfolio Manager for Black Creek Industrial Fund LP, an investment platform sponsored by Black Creek Group, she assists with fund operations, strategy, client interfacing, due diligence and dispositions. Since joining the firm in 2007, Ms. Karp has served in a variety of leadership roles including Senior Vice President of Real Estate for Industrial Property Trust Inc. and Industrial Income Trust Inc.
Ms. Karp has more than 20 years of experience and prior to joining Black Creek she served as Vice President of Fremont Investment & Loan, a California-based bank. Before that she spent 11 years serving as First Vice President at Prologis (NYSE: PLD), where she was responsible for overseeing all due diligence and underwriting activities of corporate mergers, joint ventures, financings, acquisitions and dispositions.
Ms. Karp is a founding member and current board member of Women’s Network at Black Creek (WNBC), an organization committed to providing professional development opportunities for the women within Black Creek and the business community. She also serves as the vice chair for the board of directors for the YMCA of Metropolitan Denver. Additionally, Ms. Karp is an active member of Commercial Real Estate Women Network (CREW) and of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).
Ms. Karp holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Colorado.
