Jeff Latier is Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager at Black Creek Group, a leading real estate investment management firm. In this role, Mr. Latier oversees the development and execution of business strategy and overall portfolio management for Build-to-Core I and Build-to-Core II, the firm’s industrial development partnerships, which has grown to over $1.1 billion of equity commitments targeting approximately $2.8 billion in gross investment across major U.S. industrial markets since its inception in 2015. Additionally, Mr. Latier is responsible for sourcing debt financings for the industrial development partnerships, which has closed $5.9 billion of corporate level, secured portfolio and construction debt financings.
Mr. Latier has over 15 years of real estate capital markets experience and prior to joining Black Creek in 2011 he served as a Financial Analyst for Prologis (NYSE: PLD) where he was responsible for capital markets analysis, structuring debt transactions and developing financing strategies during the financial crisis of 2008. Early in his career, he was a Licensed Banker / Credit Analyst at Well Fargo (NYSE: WFC) where he advised high net-worth clients.
Mr. Latier is an active member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), where he serves on the Industrial Development Forum and as mentor in the Developing Leaders program. Additionally, he serves on the Editorial Board for NAIOP’s Development Magazine. In 2019, he was elected to NAIOP Research Foundation Visionaries Program for rising industry leaders, 40 years of age and under. Mr. Latier is also involved with the University of Colorado Boulder Real Estate Council and guest lectures course on real estate and mentors students.
Mr. Latier holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Arizona and Master of Business Administration in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Colorado Boulder.
